Police Carries Long March In Kokrajhar 


KOKRAJHAR, OCT 11: Stepping to create awareness on deep relation building between police and citizens, police administration in Kokrajhar today carried out a long march in Kokrajhar town and it’s adjoining areas to create awareness on security deployment for ongoing Durga Puja celebration and upcoming assembly by-polls at Gossaigaon LAC.

Over 170 jawans of security forces including Assam police, CRPF, Commandos participated the long march which was started from Kokrajhar police station.

SP Kokrajhar, Prateek Thube inaugurated the long march which has traversed to Kokrajhar main bazar, RNB road, JD Road, Bhatarmari, Patharghat, Santinagar and concluded at the starting point.

Thube said that necessary security deployment and vigil has been made in all Durga Puja mandhaps across the district.

A strict security arrangements are prepared to conduct the upcoming assembly by-polls at Gossaigaon LAC.

The upcoming assembly by-polls would be witnessing a free and fair environment.

Thube said that police administration has so far deployed sufficient security forces in all Durga Puja mandhaps to meet a healthy and successful puja celebration across the district.
