Police Steps Strict Operation Against NLFB Militant Outfit Organisation

KOKRAJHAR, JUL 19: Police administration has vowed for a strict operation against the National Liberation Front of Boroland (NLFB) in Kokrajhar district as NIA has so far circulated most wanted and head count Rs. 10 lakh against the NLFB leader M Batha.

Superintendent of Police, Kokrajhar Prateek Thube told that the police has started it’s search operation against the NLFB militant organisation along the India Bhutan border areas of Kokrajhar district.

He said that police administration and security forces have been keeping closed watch on the NLFB leader, members as NLFB militant organisation cadres are reportedly taking deep jungle in the region.

He said that police administration has made area domination exercise carried out by Kokrajhar Police on Indo-Bhutan Border.

“Police administration personel are amidst braving difficult terrains, unpredictable weather and rains, we move on against the NLFB leader M Batha and his members”, Thube said.

Meanwhile, National Investigation Agency (NIA) has announced NLFB leader M Batha as most wanted and declared reward of Rs. 10 lakh those persons who will inform whereabouts of M Batha.

Notably, several members of former NDFB members and cadres have reportedly joined the NLFB militant organisation. Four factions of NDFB organisations had returned to the main stream after signing BTR accord on 27th January (2020) which saw an impressive solutions of the Bodo issues.

On the other hand, a pre recruitment of central armed police forces (CAPF) was organised at Dimalgaon in Kokrajhar district.

The government has been stepping to make recruitment in the para military forces through the spirit of BTR accord across the BTR districts and accordingly Kokrajhar district police administration has carried out pre recruitment training for youths in the district and different security forces agencies are working deeply for recruitment.
