Pramod Boro Hopeful Winning Rajya Sabha Elections

KOKRAJHAR, MAR 19: Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) chief executive member and UPPL president Pramod Boro has expressed his hopeful that BJP led NDA alliance party’s candidates are winning both the two Rajya Sabha seats in the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections.

Notably, the ruling partner of the BJP led NDA alliance government in the state, UPPL party has announced Rwngwra Narzary as the candidate for the upcoming Rajya Sabha election in the state.

Narzary will file his nomination on 21st March in the presence of leaders of BJP, AGP, UPPL parties.

UPPL general secretary (in-charge) Raju Narzary has announced the Narzary’s name for the Rajya Sabha election today.

Narzary is presently working president of the UPPL party and chairman of Assam mineral water corporation.

He was former ABSU president and former BTC MCLA besides involved with active political activities in the region.

On Saturday, Boro while briefing the media persons in a meeting in Kokrajhar, said that UPPL party has so far announced Rwngwra Narzary’s name for the Rajya Sabha election from UPPL party while BJP party named Pabitra Margherita for the Rajya Sabha election.

He informed that UPPL party have got a Rajya Sabha seat under the spirit of BJP-AGP-UPPL alliance parties in the state.

He said that the NDA alliance parties have made the announcement the names for the elections. He said that NDA alliance party’s candidates are winning the both seats with required votes.

He has extended sincere thanks to the chief minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, BJP president Bhabesh Kalita, AGP of Atul Bora for their support while nominating the names of the candidates to contest the election.

“I do wish a grand success of NDA alliance candidates both seats in the Rajya Sabha elections in the state”, Boro said.

On the BPF, UPPL president Pramod Boro said that NDA alliance party’s candidates are getting support from the BPF party MLAs as BPF party is now come to the fold of ruling bench. He said that BPF party MLAs are voting in favour of BJP led NDA alliance party’s candidates in the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections.

UPPL secretary and Kokrajhar East LAC MLA, Lawrence Islary has extended congratulations to Narzary and expressed his hopeful that UPPL candidate is winning the Rajya Sabha elections.

Islary said that BJP led NDA alliance parties are winning both the Rajya Sabha seats in the election scheduled on 31st March.

He informed that Narzary will file his nomination on 21st March (Monday).

He has extended thanks to the chief minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, BJP president Bhabesh Kalita, AGP president Still Bora and UPPL president Pramod Boro for naming Narzary’s nomination for the Rajya Sabha elections from UPPL party.

UPPL party’s Rajya Sabha candidate, Rwngwra Narzary has extended warm welcome to the decision of BJP for sharing a Rajya Sabha seat to UPPL and really thankful to chief minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma and BJP Assam pradesh president Bhabesh Kalita for the generous decision and thankful to the president of UPPL and BTR CEM Pramod Boro for considering me for the post of Rajya Sabha.

He also extended hearty thanks to minister Urkhao Gwra Brahma and deputy chief of BTR Gobinda Chandra Basumatary for their kindness.

“I do seek all cooperation from alliance partner BJP and AGP and others for all round development of the state and the nation”, Narzary said.

Meanwhile, BTR CEM Pramod Boro graced as guest of honor in the 29th annual conference of the All India Mahayana Buddhist Mhanipa Association being held at Saralpara along the Indo-Bhutan border area in Kokrajhar district.

The conference was concluded with three day colourful programme scheduled where devotees and followers of Buddhism participated and offered their prayer and worship to the almighty God.

The conference has emphasised for building a healthy and peaceful environment among the human society to make a kindness situations across the human society.

Among others, MLA Lawrence Islary, BTC MCLA Madhav Chetry, Dharmaguru of Buddhist were prominent attendees on the occasion.
