Pre-Republic Parade Practice Gets Underway In Kokrajhar


KOKRAJHAR, NOV 1: A ten-day pre-Republic parade practice is underway at central institute of technology (CIT) Kokrajhar complex to represent the national service scheme (NSS) East Zone during the Republic Day celebration on 26th January (2022) in New Delhi.

A total 198 participants from different nine states including northearern states and Odisa and West Bengal state participated the ten day pre-Republic parade march-past.

The parade camp was organised by CIT Kokrajhar under the aegis of ministry of youth affairs and sports and national service scheme (NSS).

A total 40 participants including 20 boys would be selected from eastern zone for participating the Republic Day celebration parade showcase in New Delhi on 26th January next.

The parade practice camp was started from 25th October in Kokrajhar and concluding on 4th November.

The parade contingents from eastern zone would demonstrate a really good parade demonstration during the Republic Day celebration.

Dr Kamal Kar, assistance programme advisor, NSS Delhi said that the pre republic parade was organised to select NSS volunteers and youths to represent the eastern zone which cover up states of northeastern region, West Bengal and Odisha.

Participants and contingent team leaders have expressed their excited with happy moments after stepping in Kokrajhar and hopeful that the NSS volunteer members are presenting best performances during my Republic Day in New Delhi.

Organiser of the pre-republic parade camp and faculty member of Kokrajhar central institute of technology, JDH Basumatary told that the parade camp is an important moment as eastern zone has selected the Kokrajhar CIT as spot venue for the training camp. He said that the parade training camp is extending an environment of NSS with an integration among the states across the national as states.

He has extended his sincere thanks to the officials of directorate of NSS for choosing the Kokrajhar CIT as training camp.
