Public Meeting Held On Completion Of 100 Days Of Present Government


KOKRAJHAR, AUG 21: On the completion of 100 days of the present BJP led NDA government in Assam under the chief ministership of Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma several distrust administrations of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) have organized a public meeting inviting leading citizens and media persons of their respective districts to discuss various achievements made by the state government in the last 100 days since it’s government formation on Friday evening.

In Kokrajhar, district administration organised a meeting at Science College Kokrajhar auditorium to mark the 100 day in office of NDA government in Dispur.

All leading organisational leaders, senior citizens, officials, media persons participated the event and discussed over the achievements and implementation of schemes and projects carried out by NDA government in the state.

Deputy Commissioner, Kokrajhar Varnali Deka and several senior officials attended the programme and shared about government’s activities in the district.

In Chirang, the district administration organized a public meeting inviting leading citizens and media persons of the district to discuss various achievements made by the state government in the last 100 days at the conference hall of office of the Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Kajalgaon on Friday.

The programme started with the National Anthem of Assam was conducted by Rakhisri Lekharu, Assistant Commissioner, Chirang, and attended by Abhiram Mahanayak, Deputy Speaker of Bodoland Territorial Council Legislative Assembly (BTCLA) as Chief Guest.

In his welcome address, Narendra Kumar Shah, Deputy Commissioner, Chirang, congratulated the Government of Assam led by Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma for the successful completion of hundred days at the power. He said that during these 100 days, the present state government had able to bring all round development by taking up various welfare schemes and implementing all these properly. Stressing on the importance of creating public awareness regarding various public welfare schemes of the state government, he also urged the media representatives to extend their cooperation for wide circulation of all schemes. “In the last 100 days, the government of Assam has done a lot of works by taking notable measures in regard to protection of livestock, taking process for engaging one lakh youths in government departments, a drug free and healthy Assam in the next five years, protection of children and women, safe repatriation of a total of 72 children trafficked from Chirang, providing financial assistance to women and children, who had lost their husbands and parents due to COVID-19 pandemic.

The chief guest of the programme, Deputy Speaker of BTCLA Abhiram Mahanayake claimed that under the leadership of Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, Assam state would be one of the best states in India within a year. He also said that the Arunodoi scheme and other pension schemes for elderly people and widows, would able to solve the major problems of public.

On the occasion, distribution of booklets containing development stories and interaction with the media persons on the issues pertaining to developmental activities in the district were also witnessed.

Chirang Superintendent of Police Pranjit Bora, Additional Deputy Commissioner and Bijni Civil Sub-Divisional Officer Dibakar Nath, other Additional Deputy Commissioners, Assistant Commissioners, Circle Officers, all heads of departments, social leading personalities and a host of media persons were present at the meeting.
