KOKRAJHAR, AUG 3: A mass religious prayer was organised at SAI centre Titaguri in Kokrajhar to extend best wishes as well encouraging greetings to the Assam daughter Lovlina Borgohain who is participating in the semi final in Tokyo Olympic on Wednesday.
The prayer programme was organised by Bodoland Territorial Council administration and BTC sports and youth welfare department to extend solidarity with greetings to Olympic Boxer Lovlina Borgohain.
Several religious prayer troupes including Bathow, Satsangha, Krishnaguru, Christian, Islam, Brahma Dharma, Satsangha participated and offered their prayers for Lovlina Borgohain and hopeful that Lovlina will be winning Gold medal in the final match for the country.
BTC executive member Daobaisa Boro inaugurated the mass prayer programme amidst presence of sports lover and well wishers of Lovlina Borgohain.
Boro has extended his best wishes and greetings to Lovlina Borgohain for her successful bout in the competition. He said that the BTC administration today organised a mass religious prayer in support of boxer Lovlina Borgohain who is participating in the semi final match on Wednesday in Tokyo Olympic to extend encouraging international boxer Lovlina Borgohain.
“We do expect that Lovlina is winning gold for the India in the final in the ongoing Olympic held in Tokyo”, Boro said.
On the occasion, a rich floral tribute was also paid to the Assam police Swahid jawans who were become martyrs in the Assam-Mizoram border clashing recently.
SP Kokrajhar Prateek Thube, BTC executive member Daobaisa Boro and several attended individuals have offered homage to Swahid Assam Police jawans.
