KOKRAJHAR, NOV 21: Noted traditional Bodo dance instructor of Kokrajhar Music & Fine Arts College, Dilip Narzary inaugurated the Rimi Jimi Dance coaching centre at Kanthalguri Udangshri Club complex on Sunday in Kokrajhar.
The dance coaching centre has been emphasizing to impart training on basic knowledge on traditional Bodo folk dance, especially Athila, Gasari etc among the young generations in the remote areas.
The centre has been run by promising Bodo traditional dancer Rimi Jimi Brahma for imparting training on Bodo traditional folk dance and music.
Nearly 30 students have so far enrolled in the dance coaching centre for dance training from greater Shukanjhora area as well it’s nearby villages.
Narzary has lauded the initiative taken from Rimi Jimi Brahma and hopeful that the coaching centre will bring awareness and encouraging environment among the coming up generations in the area.
He has urged the coming up generations to be involved while taking professionalism career building including dance, higher education to make a healthy life.
Bodo film actor Kahinoor Brahma, flute expert Dwipungkha Brahma, senior journalist Hantigiri Narzary, village headman Ukundwi Brahma, retired headmaster Karuna Kanta Basumatary were prominent attendees on the occasion.
