Teacher Murder Case: Two Held, ABSU Staged Protest Demonstration


KOKRAJHAR,MAR 12: Police administration in Kokrajhar have intensified it’s strict investigation into the brutally murder case of school teacher Berlao Bethao Brahma alias Bibhash Brahma and subsequently arrested two persons and detained seven other person’s for interrogation.

Notable, Brahma was headmaster of Kumguri LP School, kidnapped and later murdered by miscreants on Thursday.

Since after the incident, police have so far arrested two persons who were involved with the incident. They have been identified as Gauranga Sarkar and Abhijit Sen.

The police also detained seven other persons for interrogation.

Family members of the victim lodged an FIR with police and demanded a deep investigation into the incident and punished the involved culprits.

Police administration has been Intensifying it’s investigation into the incident and hopeful that all involved culprits would be booked within few days.

Meanwhile, the All Bodo Students Union (ABSU ) staged a two-hour sit in protest demonstration today in protest against the brutally murder of school teacher Berlao Bethao Brahma alias Bibhash Brahma.

The protest demonstration was carried out at Bodofa children park in Kokrajhar and demanded strict investigation and punished the involved culprits with immediate steps.

The students union activists and several organisations like Bodo primary teachers association, Boro Somaj, Bodo Sahitya Sabha, Tribal Sangha participated the protest demonstration which was organised by Kokrajhar district committee of ABSU to put pressurise the government for immediate step for investigation.

Several hundred students from different school colleges and ABSU members took part in the demonstration with holding banner placards.

The students union strongly condemned the incident and demanded hanged of the involved culprits.

A memorandum was submitted to the chief minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma through the deputy commissioner of Kokrajhar seeking immediate step against the brutally murder case of a school teacher.

ABSU general secretary Khanindra Basumatary while participating the protest demonstration have demanded a  strict investigation into the incident and punished the involved culprits.

He has urged the government and police administration for a strict steps against the incident.

He has sought an immediate intervention from the chief minister and DGP of Assam into murder to nab the involved culprits.
