Thulunga Festival Concludes With Cultural Rally In Bodoland University


KOKRAJHAR, FEB 10: The Thulunga Festival-2022 of Bodoland University was concluded on Thursday with four day’s colourful programme scheduled at Bodoland University complex, Debargaon in Kokrajhar.

The Thulunga Festival was organised in connection with the 21st varsity week celebration of Bodoland University which was organised by Bodoland University Students Union (BUSU) to mark the annual activities of the university.

During the event, several programmes and activities like sports, cultural, literary, debate & symposium were also organised where students from different departments of the university participated and presented their talents by showcasing various activities.

On Thursday, a multi cultural rally was organized in connection with the closing ceremony of the varsity week celebration of Bodoland University which was started from 7th February and today concluded with a valedictory programme.

In the rally, students from different departments of the University took part and showcased attractive traditional attires representing different caste and communities including Bodo, Rabha, Bengali,.Assamese, Nepali, Koch Rajbongshi etc.

The rally created good looking with attractive scenes that brought an environment of unity and diversity among the society.

Vice-chancellor of Bodoland University, Pof Laishram Ladudingh ceremonially flagged off the rally at Bodoland University complex and the rally traversed to CIT Kokrajhar road, JD Road and concluded at the same point.

Ladu Singh said that the cultural rally was an outcome of unity and diversity among the various communities as students showcased healthy integration.

He said that the university has been organising the festival every year and this year gathered an environment of attractive looking.

He informed that so far the university authority has made an advertisement for recruitment of permanent registrar in the Bodoland University and hopeful that permanent registrar will be appointed by the March month next through the proper channel of official procedure.

He also informed that several vacancies of the teaching staff posts are so far filled up and remaining vacancies would be filled up with immediate steps from state of as well concerned authorities.
