Traditional Bodo Recipes Foods Created Amusement In Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR, OCT 8: An attractive traditional Bodo recipe of foods showcase and tastes have created an amusement and enthusiasm among the participants on the occasion of closing ceremony programme of Rastriya Poshan Maah-2021 today held at Kokrajhar Science College auditorium.

The Rastriya Poshan Maah celebration was concluded today after a long month programme scheduled which was organised by District Social welfare office Kokrajhar on the theme of converging the towards healthy walk through life to create awareness on nutritions among the pregnant women and children.

Deputy Commissioner Kokrajhar Varnali Deka inaugurated the programme and took tastes of traditional recipes of foods on the occasion.

Various traditional Bodo recipes like pitha, enthao, pork narzee, dao ondla, naa usumwi, empow ondla, samo (snail) which are traditionally prepared by ICDS supervisor, ICDS workers.

DC Deka took the tastes of traditional recipes of foods which are made from traditional phenomenon of Bodos.

She has extended best wishes and thanks to all members of organisers and officials of social welfare department for successfully celebration of Rastriya Poshan Maah across the district with highlighting awareness bringing on nutritions among the pregnant women and children.

She is very much enthusiastic having the traditional recipes on the occasion that marked healthy environment on showcasing the values and observing the traditional foods.

She has lauded the organisers and concern authorities for carrying poshan maah celebration.

She said that today is the closing ceremony of the poshan maah celebration where a deep discussion was also held on the healthy awareness on nutritions among the pregnant women and childrens.

District Social welfare officer Kokrajhar Gunindra Talukdar said that the closing ceremony of Rastriya Poshan Maah celebration was organised today where officials and ICDS supervisor as well ICDS workers have showcased attractive activities on traditional Bodo recipes and foods.

He said that the poshan maah celebration has highlighted on the nutritions which is best much needed among the pregnant women and children among the society.

During the occasion, best performing ICDS supervisor, ICDS workers were felicitated with awards who have showcased attractive traditional Bodo recipes and local foods.
