KOKRAJHAR, JAN 23: Bodofa Nwgwr Green Field Kokrajhar is all set to accord welcome to Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday in the grand celebration of first anniversary of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) accord day which is beginning from 24th January with four day programme scheduled.

All kinds of preparation and arrangements including security deployments are so far have get final touch this evening to host the BTR accord anniversary.

The BTR accord anniversary has been organising at Green Field Bodofa Nwgwr in a land area of over 700 bighas of land where main pandal and helipad have been erected with proper decorations.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is arriving in Kokrajhar in 9 am to address grand celebration in the BTR accord day celebration and over 3 lakhs peoples are expecting to throng the celebration.

BTR chief executive member Pramod Boro and Kokrajhar Lok Sabha MP and GSP president Naba Kumar Sarania have visited at the celebration venue and took stock about the progress of preparation.

Boro told that Union Home Minister Amit Shah is attending the first anniversary of BTR accord day in Kokrajhar on Sunday since after signing historic BTR accord on 27th January (2020).

He said that necessary preparation and arrangements are completed this evening for the grand celebration. He said that all clauses of the BTR accord are getting implementation one by one and most of the clauses are coming to be implemented properly.

Boro has appealed all sections of the communities to participate in the grand BTR accord anniversary.

Additional DGP L R Bishnoi also visited at the Green Field Bodofa Nwgwr to take stock about the progress of preparation today.

He said that nearly 2000 security forces have been deployed in the celebration to meet a healthy successful of the programme.

Meanwhile, unknown miscreants vandalised and  torn down the hoarding/ banners  of BTR accord day celebration in Kokrajhar.

The incident took place at Debargaon near residence of Hagrama Mohilary,ex BTC chief along the JD road late last night.

The hoardings were erected in connection with the celebration of first BTR accord day where Union Home Minister Amit Shah is attending as chief guest on Sunday. Miscreants vandalised and torn the hoardings.

BTC CEM Pramod Boro has strongly reacted to the hoarding vandalisation incident held at Debargaon ahead day of Union Home Minister Amit Shah visit in Kokrajhar late night.

He has urged the district administration to take strong step against the involved culprits and identify the culprit and send them to jail.

‘No any anti social activities would be spared at any costs’, Boro said.

He informed that Union Home Minister Amit Shah is attending the BTR accord day celebration on Sunday at Green Field Bodofa Nwgwr in Kokrajhar.

Boro also today inaugurated the UPPL party office at Tinali for Debargaon block UPPL committee in Kokrajhar.

Boro has urged citizens to come forward for social integration and parivartan.
