KOKRAJHAR, JAN 24: The Green Field Bodofa Nwgwr, Kokrajhar has witnessed a sea of humanity gathering on the opening ceremony of first BTR (Bodoland Territorial Region) accord day celebration from Wednesday.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah graced as chief guest on the occasion who was accompanied with chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Health and Education minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, MLA and president of Assam state BJP, BJP national vice president Bijayanta Pandey.
Shah was accorded warm welcome and felicitation with traditional Aaronai, Indi shawl, Serja and momento that saw an attractive event.
The BTR administration has organised the grand celebration to mark the third Bodo peace accord which was created Bodoland Territorial Region that was signed on 27th January in 2020 in a tripartite peace talks.
In the peace accord, all four factions of NDFB, All Bodo Student Union and United Bodo People’s Organisation signed which was regarded as an inclusive peace accord in the history of political arena in northeastern region.
Since after signing BTR accord, several clauses of the BTR accord have so far implemented which are included rehabilitation packages to the NDFB cadres, creation of separate directorate for Bodo language and other tribal languages, Bodo language has been accorded associate official language, all deputy commissioners in four districts in BTR etc.
Union Home Minister Shah distributed ex gratia to martyr families on the occasion who had sacrificed their lives. Each of martyr family was given away cheque of Rs.5 lakh.
Union Home Minister Shah also launched “Digital Management System” in BTC to work deep dedication with paper less systems across the region.
During his visit, Shah laid foundation stone for construction of seven numbers of project/schemes in BTR areas on the occasion of first BTR accord day celebration which are included Bodoland institute of rural development at Gossaigaon of Kokrajhar district, polytechnic and vocational training in all four districts, Bathou Harimaphuri at Kumarikata, Baksa, Kheraishali centre for Bodo art and culture with tribal art gallery cum museum at Bhergaon, Gorkha Bhawan at Chirang.
A cultural complex cum centre of excellence in the name of Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma at Thulungapuri Dotma and Medical College at Barama in Baksa district.
Shah said the BTR accord was held under the bold leadership of prime minister Narendra Modi as NDA government has been working relentlessly towards ushering of social uplift.
Shah while lauding the BTR administration under the leadership of Pramod Boro said that this rally has been regarded as a family rally where Bodo and non Bodos are participating the rally with integrity.
He has opined that the BTR accord was a part of prime minister Narendra Modi’s northeastern development visionary aspects.
“New Bodoland with deep development and aspects must be brought out as NDA government has been taking strong enough”, he said adding that NDA government is fully committed to work for the people’s welfare.
He has emphasised for building a healthy society with language, culture sustainability among the society.
He said that the coalition spirit will be continued in Assam state in coming days as coalition government is intact.
“In Assam, BJP-UPPL-GSP coalition government is forming government in Assam with winning majority seats”, Shah said.
He said that the BTR accord has brought a deep belief and unity among the society.
He has opined of corruption free society,terrorism free and pollution free in the region and accordingly citizens must come forward for building healthy environment.
“Make society free from corruption,illegal foreigners encroachment in the state”, Shah added.
BTR chief executive member Pramod Boro told that the BTR accord was an impressive solution among the society in the Bodo belts. He said that the BTR accord brought a parivartan environment among the peoples in the region.
He said that the BTR administration has organised a grand celebration to mark the first BTR accord day anniversary with four day programme scheduled which has begun from Sunday.
Bodoland Territorial Region chief executive member Pramod Boro said that the BTR accord was an accord for peaceful and prosperity among the society.
The region gets free from arms movement and struggles through the BTR accord that brought an inclusive solution of Bodo issues.
He has alleged that previous BPF led BTC administration had been indulged massive corruption and anomalies in all frontal welfare aspects due to insincerity attitudes from BTC administration.
” All kinds of corruption and anomaly practices must be checked for stopping the unsuited environment in the region”, Boro said adding that peoples from all sections in society must maintain healthy development and welfare.
He has recalled contribution of martyrs who laid their lives said that the BTR accord was an outcome of sacrifice of over 5000 martyrs across the region.
“The BTR accord has been giving good welfare and development integration among the society which is a way for leading the healthy life.
Boro while emphasizing peace and tranquility environment among the society said that the human society must get free from influence of illegal arms and illegal arms must be seized through the strict steps.
In his address, Assam Health and Education minister, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “The BTR accord day celebration is a historic event which has a paving the healthy development and welfare”.
He said that each and every clauses are coming out for the implementation one by one across the region.
He has informed that the state government has sanctioned Rs.500 crores for uplift of road communication across the BTR areas as government has been emphasizing massive welfare and development with strategically.
“New parivartan must reach in BTR area through the dedicated spirit”, he said.
Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said that peoples from all walks of life including Bodo are getting opportunities for welfare of development through the BTR accord.
He said that the BTR accord was regarded as a best and humanity development spirit among the society.
“I congratulate the BTR CEM Pramod Boro and his team members who are working towards ushering of social integration”, he said.
BTC executive member Ranjit Basumatary said that peoples from all sections of this society are wanting parivartan environment through the good governance.
“We are hoping that Home Minister Amit Shah’s visiting will be witnessing an encouraging message for building peaceful and transport among the society”, Basumatary said.
