KOKRAJHAR, JAN 19: A massive preparation is going in full swing at Green Field Bodofa Nwgwr in Kokrajhar for Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit on 24th January during the grand 1st historic BTR (Bodoland Territorial Region) accord day celebration.
Shah is visiting in ‘Kokrajhar City of Peace’ in connection with the grand celebration of BTR Accord Day which is being beginning from 24th January with four day programme scheduled.
The celebration venue has been arranged in a large area covering nearly about 700 bighas of land which has been decorating with attractive pandals apart from main pandal, welcome gates and erected hoardings to welcome Union Home Minister Amit Shah, chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal, finance minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma.
The celebration venue will be witnessed of lakh of people’s throng from different parts of the BTC districts which will mark the historic BTR accord day in the history of third Bodo Accord which was signed on 27th January in 2020 in a tripartite peace talks in between centre,state and leaders from four factions of NDFB, All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) and United Bodo People’s Organisation (UBPO).
On Tuesday, additional director general of police (ADGP), L R Bishnoi has visited at the Green Field Bodofa Nwgwr Kokrajhar to take stock about the preparation of the grand celebration.
Bishnoi having reached in Kokrajhar in the morning around 9 am has inspected helipad site and main venue of the grand celebration.
He said over 15 companies of security forces are deploying in the BTR accord day celebration where over 3 lakhs peoples are thronging the grand celebration.
He informed that police administration and district administration is ready to celebrate the BTR accord day.
