UPPL Celebrates 76th Independence Day

KOKRAJHAR, AUG 15: The 76th Independence Day of India was celebrated with befitting programmes at different places including government institutions, semi government institutions, private institutions in entire Kokrajhar district on Monday.

The ruling United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) central committee celebrated the Independence Day at it’s party office Thanapara along the JD Road in Kokrajhar town.

Party’s vice president Berlao K Karjee hoisted national tricolour flag on the occasion followed by observed of one minute silence condolence to pay homage to martyrs on the occasion.

Several senior party leaders, workers of the central committee and well wishers participated the event.

Karjee said that the party has organized the Independence Day celebration to recall contributions of national heroes who had sacrificed their lives and today India country celebrates 76th years of freedom.

The Kokrajhar district committee of UPPL party also celebrated the Independence Day at it’s party office in Kokrajhar.

President of Kokrajhar district committee UPPL and MLA Lawrence Islary hoisted national tricolour flag on the occasion.
