UPPL Launches Election Manifesto


KOKRAJHAR, MAR 25: UPPL president and BTR chief executive member (CEM) Pramod Boro ceremonially launched the party’s election manifesto as a Vision Document of the party today at a meeting held at party office in Kokrajhar amidst huge gathering of party supporters.

The highlights of the election manifesto are included good governance in BTR administration for building up a united and integrated society, all clauses of the BTR accord are going to be implementation properly, people’s welfare and development for all communities are main prospects.

Bringing of corruption free society for paving the way healthy development are top priority of the UPPL party in region.

Boro said that UPPL-BJP-GSP alliance government working for the people’s welfare and development with massive integrity.

He has expressed his hopeful that in the first phase of election, BJP led alliance parties are winning majority seats across the state and forming the government.

“In BTR areas, there is no any candidate to defeat UPPL and BJP parties”, Boro said adding that UPPL and it’s alliance parties are winning in all contesting seats in four districts of the Bodoland Territorial Region.

“There is no doubt that BJP led alliance are forming government in the state with majority constituencies”, he said.

Boro has claimed that his party is contesting in 11 constituencies in BTC districts and winning majority seats as peoples from cutting across the communities are coming forward to extend support to the UPPL party candidates.

He said that there is no impact of the BPF as citizens are avoiding the BPF party in the region and accordingly voting in favour of UPPL party candidates.

He said that his BTC government first & foremost, newly formed government has been able to ushered in peace by bringing back the fraternity, mutual trust and tolerance among the cross-section of people through its quick actions by reflecting in governance significantly laying emphasise towards equal rights, equitable development and fundamental human rights of all and thereby making everyone believe that we are truly in a state of true democracy.

He said that the BTC government has launched online portal & toll free number to address  public grievances.

He informed that more than 700 KMs road have been sanctioned within two months of government formation in BTR.

“Bodo language in Devanagri script has been officially declared as an associate official language in Assam, numbers of schools have been provincialised and 2160 teacher’s job got regularised within two months of government formation, rehabilitation package of Rs.4 Lacs have been handed over to NDFB, record of land rights has been given to 5744 families and another 11,000 families will be receiving land rights in BTR.

He said that Kokrajhar Town has been declared as “City of Peace” and the government will workto build the headquarter town as well planned city, separate directorate has been established for Bodo medium Schools as promised.

“Foundation of Govt. Model College has been laid at Koila Moila under Chirang district and additional post of DIG in BTR has been announced”, Boro added.
