KOKRAJHAR, DEC 22: President of United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) and BTC chief executive member (CEM) Pramod Boro said UPPL BJP GSP coalition government is committed to work for the welfare and development services of the common masses.
Boro while attending party’s central working committee (CWC) meeting on Tuesday held at Bodofa cultural complex in Kokrajhar said, “There are lot of external and internal issues of developmental in the BTAD administration. The BTC administration is taking bold initiative for uplifting the region”, he said.
Notably, Boro took oath of office and secrecy on 15th December last along with his deputy chief and seven executive members of the executive council of Bodoland People’s Territorial Council under the coalition government in the council.
Just after assuming his office as BTC chief executive member, Boro has been stressing to look after all corners of welfare and development services in the council besides making maiden visits in the districts.
He has expressed his unhappy over previous BPF ruled BTC government’s activities said that the governmental activities of previous BPF government was not saw satisfied in the region as previous government has totally failed to make uplift and welfare aspects of the common masses.
He has alleged that BPF ruled BTC government had indulged massive corruption and anomalies in all welfare aspects which led failing to work for the welfare of common masses.
He said that he has been making his visits at various places in the region just after taking charge of the CEM.
On Tuesday morning, Boro visited at Dadgiri along the Indo-Bhutan border area in Chirang district to take stock about scarcities of drinking water among the border residents.
He has promised of facilitating for proper distribution of drinking water in days to come to meet heathy development and living. He said that the UPPL led coalition government in BTC has been stepping up to provide pure drinking water facilities for the border citizens.
Boro said that UPPL led coalition government will fulfill all promise and assurance enlisted in the party’s election manifesto in the council in days to come through the good governance.
He has urged the citizens to cooperate the UPPL led coalition government while discharging duties and responsibilities with letter and spirit in the region.
On the other hand, the UPPL party holds its first CWC meeting at Bodofa cultural complex after forming coalition government in BTC where party discussed on the party affairs and analyses party’s performances in last BTC council elections.
Nearly 1000 party members including CWC member and office bearers of the central committee participated the meeting which was chaired by party’s working president Rwngwra Narzary.
The party has resolved several resolutions including upliftiment of party with strengthening the party organisation with adopting party activities in days to come.
