KOKRAJHAR, OCT 28: President of United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) Pramod Boro expressed his hopeful that his party is winning absolute majority in the ensuing BTR elections.
UPPL president Pramod Boro, who was also former ABSU president while interacting with media persons today in Kokrajhar said that his party is winning absolute majority in the ensuing BTR elections to form the BTR legislative assembly. He said that UPPL party is fully prepared to contest the ensuing BTR elections.He said that UPPL party is waiting only declaration of dates for the BTR election.
He has alleged that BPF leaders between Assam minister Chandan Brahma and BPF supremo Hagrama Mohilary are seeing busy on cold water over the leadership issue within the party.
He said BPF is facing severe defeats in the ensuing BTR elections as common masses are voting in favour of UPPL party.
He has alleged that BPF party has failed to work for the welfare and development of the common area in their 17 year rule in BTR administration.
He informed that former BTC MCLA and senior BPF leader Laben Basumatary and several other 100 new members joined the UPPL party at a party meeting held at Sidli in Chirang district today.
Notably, the elections to the BTR was deferred for indefinite period due to COVID-19 pandemic across the state.
