Urban Livelihoods Mission Skill Training

Kokrajhar, Aug 3: A ceremonial distribution of certificate to successful skill training candidates under Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Urban Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NULM) was held Monday in Kokrajhar.

Organised by Kokrajhar and Kokrajhar Municipal Board, BTC executive member for Urban development BTR Wilson Hasda, chairperson of Kokrajhar Municipal Board Pratibha Brahma attended the function as guests and handed over the certificates.

A total 56 youths were handed over the certificates.

Talking to Reporters, chairperson of Kokrajhar Municipal Board Pratibha Brahma said total 56 youths who successfully underwent training under National Urban Livelihoods Mission were handed over the certificates.

The National Urban Livelihoods Mission aims to reduce poverty and vulnerability of the urban poor households by enabling them to access gainful self-employment and skilled wage employment opportunities, resulting in an appreciable improvement in their livelihoods on a sustainable basis, through building strong grassroots level institutions of the poor.
