KOKRAJHAR, SEP 25: Various organization, parties including United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL), All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) have welcomed and extended congratulations to the BTR accord signatories and extended thanks to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Governor of Assam for initiating implementation of clauses of BTR accord. UPPL president Pramod Boro welcomes the renamed of BTAD as BTR from today through the spirit of BTR accord implementation and extended thanks to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Governor of Assam for taking bold to implement the BTR accord clauses. Addressing the reporters at a press conference held at party office today in Kokrajhar, UPPL president Pramod Boro has welcomed a four member commission formed with PP Verma (retired IAS) to include and exclude of villages in the BTR (Bodoland Territorial Region) in coming days. He said that the BTR accord was come out through the Bodo peace talks that was signed on 27th January last through a tripartite peace talks. He said that today’s day is very important for the region as clauses of the BTR accord are getting implementational spirit. He has lauded centre, state and BTR accord signatories for the coming out to the peace process and accordingly clauses of BTR accord are getting implementation. Boro who is one of signatories of the BTR accord, said that clauses of BTR accord is going to be implemented one by one in days to coming. He said that peoples in the region are getting healthy integration among society. He has extended congratulations to all four factions of the NDFB, ABSU and UBPO leaders for the accord implementation in today’s juncture.
Boro has urged the centre to make 100 percent implementation of the BTR accord. He said that as the government recently assured to make implementation some of clauses of the BTR accord within one month,and today government has shown it’s sincerity towards the implementation of the historic BTR accord. He said that citizens from all walks of life are getting healthy development and welfare spirit through the BTR accord in days to coming as BTR accord is paving the massive development and welfare steps. Boro also addressed two party meetings at Harinaguri under Baukhungri constituency for party candidate Pratibha Brahma and Magurmari ground under Banargaon in for party candidate Rabiram Brahma in Kokrajhar district. Boro has expressed his hopeful that UPPL party is winning majority seats in the ensuing BTC council elections as citizens from various corners are coming forward to extend support and voting in favour of UPPL party candidates.He said that BPF party has failed to work for the citizens in their 17 year rule in BTAD administration. “Citizens are wanting Parivartan and massive welfare in their leading life,so this time common masses are supporting the UPPL party to meet good governance and healthy integration“, Boro added. ABSU welcomes the commission formation to include and exclude in the BTR area and emphasises proper implementation of the BTR accord clauses in the area. Addressing the reporters at a Press Conference held at Bodofa House today in Kokrajhar, vice president of ABSU Jayanta Basumatary said all clauses of the BTR accord would be getting implementation through the spirit of BTR accord in coming days.
He said that the Bodo Kochary Welfare Autonomous Council (BKAC) would be come out within short span of days in near future. “We are very happy with formation of commission in the BTR and the commission will support their reports within six months“, Basumatary said.
